Guest guest
I eat mostly protein, but probably only two vegetable servings a day. One of the reasons I try to avoid potatoes as a vegetable. Just don't have the room. I eat nuts almost every day, but I worry about not getting fiber. I don't know how lack of veggies would affect labs????? I started taking a fiber supplement when I was having an upset stomach. My regular doctor actually recommended it since he thought the whole thing through and realized I didn't eat all that much. I actually have my first ProScore of the day with a heaping tablespoon of orange-flavored fiber supplement from the health food store. in Austin RNY April 1998 no protein, few veggies... labs... Guest guest
Hi Dave! I am glad to hear someone else takes ProScore. I think it is a great Protein drink. Thanks for the tip about the fiber. I have finally started losing again. I have been eating high protein, low carbs, lots of water, and 1 or 2 protein drinks a day. I lost 110 lbs, then gained twenty back and now have lost 3 again. I really feel I am back on track, and since I have been eating this way for 5 weeks now, I hardly have any cravings for the carbs. Oh, once in a while, I am tempted to stop at a convenient store and pick up a candy bar, but I am able to fight it, and it goes away. After almost 3 years since the surgery (Feb 15, 2000), it is something I have to work at every day. The protein is one of the keys I really believe. Have a good day, ! Bobbie-Manchester, WA no protein, few veggies... labs... Guest guest
I did not see the reports this year. Both my PCP and bariatric surgeon reviewed them and both said they were excellent. My dexascan results from earlier this month were interpreted to be equivalent to those to be expected from some one in their 40s. I am 57. I attribute my good labs to religiously taking the best vitamin and mineral supplement system there is on the market. Guest guest
Dear Randy and all, I believe what Judy was aiming at was Ray's statement that I asterisked below, not his freedom to speak about protein. Remember what we just came through when we were asked not to hawk our personal products in this forum? And that is just what I think she thought he was doing by bragging that his current state of health (sans protein supps) was due only to religiously taking the bariatricsupplements.com products that follow his signature. Please correct me if I am wrong, the difference seems to be his moving from a BTDT perspective to one of specific product recommendation/exclusion for our health. Guest guest
I tried it by accident. I have my little routine, water in this hand, ice in this hand, Don's orange soda here, and I put the water in my PS100, then ice, then put it in the glass, then add Don's van to my choc mixing cup, add pop & go. I do it many times a day. One time, phone rang or something and I put the orange in my PS100 choc !!!!!!!!! Nasty! Ewww, Yuckers! Save me! I made Don drink it. He thought it not half bad. LOL! And that's why he likes his creamsicle made in my chocolate leavings.
