Guest guest
Hi everyone. Well, we've got good news. The docs did an MRI on Regina's knee today and it came out good. She won't need surgery on the knee. They said the swelling should go down soon and it should be fine with a little physical therapy. Her shoulder and arm feel much better after they reduced the dislocation and her BP and heart rate are back to where they were. She may be home tonight or definitely tomorrow. The ribs will heal in time. They hurt the worst. The guy that hit her had an uninsured, unregistered car that wasn't his and was driving drunk. No fault will pay for Regina's medical bills and Chris' insurance will take care of her car. They let the guy out on bail by mistake and are trying to locate him now. Apparently this is his third drunk driving accident with injuries involved and he's going away as soon as they find him. We're all relieved that he won't be able to do this again and if so, not for quite awhile anyway. Hopefully he will sober up and get his act together. He's lucky he hasn't killed somebody yet. Regina wants to thank you all for all the love and support and " wonderful notes " that you sent her. Physically she'll be fine soon, but mentally she's shot right now. So much too deal with over the past year. Just thought I'd let you know what was up and to say thank you from me too. Tim
Guest guest
Tim, Don't do anything rash now-- just work on getting her well and rested! You are both in my prayers. In a few months, when you have picked up some of the stuff at home and she has has a chance to rest and recover, maybe it would be good for the two of you to see a therapist together to sort some of this stuff out. You have a lot invested in each other. Take care and tell her we are thinking about her! hugs, Ann
