I must say I feel extremely uncomfortable when seing this as a

recommendation to a newbie, as I have encouraged many pre-ops that

depend on me for information to join up here and start their

reading. I did not see many direct responses to Ray's

recommendations that protein supplements NOT be used; therefore I

must put in my 2 cents here.

Newbies, please read about how much protein you *actually* absorb

from food, and then how much you would have to eat to get all that

from food sources only. (You could blow the " Pouch Rules for

Dummies " all to he!! in just one day's attempts to eat it, IMO.)

For all the pontification I continue to be subjected to from someone

who's supposed to be so much more enlightened here than the rest of

us, the least you could do is tell them " YMMV " ! Because I am

*certain* that it would.

Hopefully newbies that come here will also read our extensive

archives and get the full story on protein absorption vs our WLS-

altered body requirements.

Thanks for Listening,

Jeanne in Friend, NE :-)
