Respect invokes a response in kind. So does disrespect. When one list member

initiates a diatribe against another --unprovoked and unfounded -- as Ray

did, it's bound to inflame others to reply in the same manner. I hope your

call for a little more respect includes a request to Ray to respect others as

well, particularly the Vitalady whom he seems so intent on bashing

lately. If you have followed my activity on this and other lists, you know

that I generally try to maintain an objective view, and that in the past I

have several times defended Ray. I would still defend his right to express an

opinion on pertinent subject matter. I will never defend ANYone's right to

" take it personal. "
