Guest guest
Hello everyone, My husband was diagnosed with shy drager symdrome in October of last year and we are having quite a time. It's very hard as we don't know what to expect and when to expect it. Our doctor just said that it is untreatable and uncurable. Guest guest
Bunny, That is basically the same news we got in 1998. They may not be able to treat the true illness, but they can treat many of the symptoms. Make a list of the symptoms that bother him the most. Ask your doctors which of his symptoms can they help reduce. Best wishes, Marilyn in TN
Guest guest
Sally, I understand where you are coming from. You want to know what causes MSA, when do certain symptoms start so you will be ready for it, etc. I am sorry but no one can tell you. We all experience symptoms at different times and some symptoms some have others won't have them. I guess if the researchers knew all of these questions they would be closer to finding a cure. We can try and help as the symptoms appear and will continue to do so as long as you want is to. SallySally, My experience so far is just about the time you think you have this hurdle under control another one jumps right out in front and trips you. Then you start all over again to get over that next hurdle. I've only been in this group for a week now but it has been such a blessing to me and my mother. When I see something that might help, I print it off and take it to the hospital for the doctors, nurses, and therapist to read because they aren't real knowlegable about this disease either. Hang in there and if I can help let me know. Guest guest
Sally: It is not untreatable just incurable. All the people on this list treat it with sometimes good results, sometimes not so good. Barbara
