Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just had surgery on Friday, 3/26, on my upper jaw for an open bite. I tried to read the posts as much as possible before going in, but don't remember anyone complaining about sensitive eyes. My eyes have been KILLING me since surgery! They feel really dry and sting like crazy, even when they are shut. When they are open it's even worse. I haven't been able to put my contact lenses in and even wearing glasses bother me. I just wanted to know if anyone else remembers feeling this way... Thank you so much for your help, Meredith
Guest guest
my eyes sting a little bit when i wear my contacts. i think its because of the way they tape your eyes shut during surgery or something. have you tried visine or anything? regardless, it should get better. so you're fresh out of surgery just about, huh? mine was two weeks ago... sometimes it feels like it just happened, other times it seems far away. its funny how time does that. well, take care of yourself! > Hi everyone, > > I just had surgery on Friday, 3/26, on my upper jaw for an open > bite. Guest guest
Hi Meredith, I had LASIK eye surgery a few years back and once in awhile, I have problems with dry eyes. I had the same problem right after my Jaw surgery. I don't know whether it was the medications - or the fact I wasn't drinking as much water as I usually do (I always have a water bottle on me - I drink tons of it,) but I had awful dry eyes. I used my artificial tears drops more often - and the problem went away after a week or so. Hope this helps! Guest guest
I had the same problem and dr said because i lost a significant amount of blood but not enough for transfusion, your body is just beyond dehydrated & that it's too busy healing & trying to replenish itself that it can't keep up with keeping your eyes and inside of noise moist. i drank a gallon of water a day and no more burning of the eyes,,, Lia > > Hi everyone, > > > > I just had surgery on Friday, 3/26, on my upper jaw for an open > > bite.
