Guest guest
How frustrating. That must be just awful to be all geared up and ready to go, only to have someone say " Not today. Go home and come back next Friday. " But, as you point out, there are many marvelous aspects to your system, not the least of which is that folks do not have to go through those horrendous battles with insurance companies. It makes all the difference in the world to have an understanding employer who'll work with you on a return to your job, i think. Mine has been simply splendid, and as a result, I am willing to go many extra miles to get done whatever is needed, whether it be fetching a roll of johnny paper or writing an extra story. I was well, I think, by 6 to 8 weeks post op. I was eating again, never had any real problems opening, and was beginning to lose that compulsion for an afternoon nap. I was, however, 56, almost 57, which I'm sure made a difference. I was in really good shape when I went in. Wish I were today! ;~) Do keep an eye on that place where they inserted the iv.
