Guest guest
Hi Vera - We'll just pray for both you and Fred! I hope everything else is going okay for you. I haven't been reading very many of the posts lately -- just don't have time! Ned's surgery went well and he was only in the hospital from Tues. (to do pre-op testing) until Saturday. Can't believe it has been 4 weeks already. They removed 15 bladder stones ranging in size from a large kidney stone to 7 of them being the size of Milk Duds! No wonder he had been having blood in his urine unrelated to an infection! His incision is healing well, and with the suprapublic cath in, I've been able to sleep through the night for 4 weeks -- the first time that I've gotten more than 6 hours sleep in a stretch in 5 years! We're not sure if we'll be keeping the catheter in or not, we'll make that decision when we see the urologist in July for Ned's post-op visit. Neither of us like the drainage bag hanging around and making it more difficult to reposition him, but if he gets a good report at his checkup, we will be able to start clamping the catheter etc. Haven't been able to do that yet as the bladder is still healing on the inside. Gotta run. I'll keep the prayers for you and Fred headed heavenward for you and I'll try to find some time to send a personal email and try to find some time to read some of the SDS list mail. Love to you both.
Guest guest
Hi Judy, I've been thinking of you and Ned for a month. I was wondering how he made out with his surgery and thank you for taking the time to let us know. You surely deserve a good nights's rest, take it while you can. Love, Jean & Chrissie
