Guest guest
Hi guys. I just had the upper advanced and the lower back 3 mm each on 3/11. Anything you want -- info, pix, etc. -- just let me know. Most of the background came from the great folks on this site who told me where to look or who had posted " catch all " sites including everything from what to ask, what to eat, what to say (when people get nosy), etc. Best of luck, Fran > > I am wondering if anyone out here has had upper and lower jaw > surgery > > due to an underbite. Guest guest
I had the same surgery 4 weeks ago. My upper jaw was deficient and my lower was too far out. My upper was moved forward 3 or 4 mm, my lower was moved back 3 or 4 mm. I can't remember which was which, but it was a total of 7mm. I was very swollen at first, but it's gone down quite a bit. I still have it (it seems to have increased yesterday for some reason) but it has gotten much better. I don't think I look all that different--I do look a little different, but not as much as I feared. Casual acquaintences who I only see a few times a year recognize me--and haven't asked any questions or even hesitated, so I can't look THAT different. I haven't ventured into big social groups yet, because I'm not in the mood for all questions and comments. So far, I've stuck to close family, who already know the whys and hows. But if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you. Eileen > > > I am wondering if anyone out here has had upper and lower jaw > > surgery > > > due to an underbite.
