Guest guest
Okay, so I need to rant. I apologize in advance. Over the weekend I noticed that when I open wide, my right condyle now skips over the cartilage without me forcing it. It happens every time. It was on my mind a lot since I really do not want to find out what life would be like with both TMJs artrhitic, so I called my OS hoping he'd say I was worried over nothing. Instead of saying what I hoped for, he said what I feared, " I think you should come in for an exam. " He went on to say that his prelimary plan of treatment from our phone conversation was for me to have an arthrocentesis on the right joint. Given that I've had two on the left already, plus an arthroscopy and not to mention upper and lower surgery, I'm not afraid of the procedure, but I sure as heck am frustrated that this seems to be turning into a rollercoaster ride that I can't get off of. I just want tolerable pain and some stability in my joints. Okay, I feel slightly better. Again, my apologies for ranting and, if you are pre-op from orthognathic surgery, don't worry that my situation will become yours. My left joint was arthritic before I ever began preparing for my orthognathic surgery.
Guest guest
Hi , I'm really sorry to hear about that. You're a trooper about it all, but entitled to rant as loud as you want to. > Okay, so I need to rant.
