Guest guest
Hi Amy, Welcome to the group. I'm glad you found us too but sorry that you needed to come looking for us. I wasn't clear from your note whether you had had a sleep study done and what the results were. By a sleep study I mean an overnight evaluation either in your home or at a sleep clinic where your sleep is monitored and recorded. On this list we're familiar with various sleep and breathing disorders which are common to Multiple System Atrophy and can lead to extreme fatigue. ie. Obstructive and/or Central Sleep Apnea, REM Behavioural Disorder, Restless Leg Syndrome, Respiratory Stridor, Vocal Cord Paralysis. A sleep study can usually identify some of these right away and there are appropriate treatments for them including both drugs and breathing devices.
