I'm so glad that you're back!! We missed you! I even called you at work

one day to see how you were. I was a little worried and I'm afraid that

I got Toi worried too but she talked to someone else who said you were

fine. I am so happy to see a post from you and glad you are doing well.

Sorry about the chicken thing. Could it be the way it's cooked? I'm not

sure. I haven't had problems with anything except Chinese food and when

I eat too fast so I don't know.

Glad to see you!!

Hi Everyone

I am back on line now, I have moved and at my job we will be moving by

November 7 so I still have that to complete. I had my surgery on August

25, 2003,

and I weighed 274 pounds and as of today's date I weigh 249 not a whole

lot of

loss but I have dropped about 2 dress sizes and I had to go out and buy

new

undergarments this week. I fit some of my really nice dresses that I

could not

wear before and I have sensitivities to some foods now. Chicken no

longer

seems to be a friend of mine :) I can take sugar with absolutely no

problems and

that surprises me especially since I had a RNY with 125 cm of my small

intestine cut out. I have thrown up foods and I do not enjoy eating

anymore. I

only eat a little bit all day long and I get pouch pains if I eat the

wrong

things. I can eat beef with o problems but chicken and turkey seem to

be my

enemies now. I can also eat small amounts of pasta too and rice.

It is nice to be back :)

WOW I am impressed!!! Moving right after surgery must have been a chore!!!

Don't feel too bad about the sugar. I can tolerate it too. Well I think I

can. I took one bite of something my husband was eating and it went down no

problem. But I have to tell you where as once I would have wanted a piece

of that desert for myself...one bite was more than enough for me.

I can eat beef as well (pasta and rice too). Of course I can eat chicken

and turkey and I try to stick with that.

It's just about listening to you little tummy and not eating too much of it.

Keep working. You WILL GET THERE!!! :o)

your surgeon knows your case best so he would best be able to answer

what you might look like post-op. when i went in for my pre-op

appointments with the surgeon, he took all kinds of measurements on

my face.. his goal in doing this was figure out how to line my jaws

up proportionately and symmetrically.
