I can't understand it not having FDA approval, I'll ask my dr about it. Thanks for the info. Love, Judy

Guest guest
Hi Judy, I'm on Synthroid too, that's the only one I can take, sometimes my thyroid levels get all out of whack and the doctor doesn't catch it in time and I go through some rough times. I'm not getting nervous about taking it though. Did you check out the info about it that I sent the web address for? It interesting to read. Sounds like they will apply for FDA approval in August. Guest guest
I saw my ortho on Friday and he took a set of molds, now on Monday he is bringing them to my OS and they will decide if we can proceed! Its scary but exciting. My question is last Mon. when the OS told me we wouldn be looking at upper and lower jaw surgery he said there will only be one scare which will be under my jaw line close to the tip of my ear. Is this normal? I know that alot of people have said they have no outside the mouth incisions. Thanks Lillies
Guest guest
I, myself had all of the incisions inside my mouth. I have heard of small incisions on the outside to insert the screws into the jaw but those were not near the tip of the ear. I don't really know. Ask your OS just what this incision is for and why he does not do it inside the mouth? I would like to know myself > I saw my ortho on Friday and he took a set of molds, now on Monday he > is bringing them to my OS and they will decide if we can proceed! > Its scary but exciting. > > My question is last Mon. when the OS told me we wouldn be looking at > upper and lower jaw surgery he said there will only be one scare > which will be under my jaw line close to the tip of my ear. Guest guest
For my lower advancement, I had two incissions outside my mouth. There was one on each side of my lower jaw where the screws were placed to hold the advancement. I'm about a year post-op, and you cannot tell anything was ever done on the outside, and, of course, no one knows anything was done on the inside unless I lift my upper lip and show 'em the scars from the upper surgery : ). As far as I know, the outer incissions I had are very, very typical of lower surgery. > I saw my ortho on Friday and he took a set of molds, now on Monday he > is bringing them to my OS and they will decide if we can proceed! > Its scary but exciting. > > My question is last Mon. when the OS told me we wouldn be looking at > upper and lower jaw surgery he said there will only be one scare > which will be under my jaw line close to the tip of my ear.
