Guest guest
********I guess sometimes we all need that wakeup call that we are not normal, and will never be normal. If there are pounds out looking for a place to live, we are the poundage homeless shelters. ) , LOL I like this phrase " poundage homeless shelters " . But, this is exactly why I hate seeing in some peoples sigs # of lbs lost and gone forever. Sorry, they are never gone forever, only in remission. Guest guest
Cringe is exactly what I do. If the weight was truly lost and gone forever, I would never have needed wls. The wls just made it a little (and a stress a little) easier. At least now I know what my limits are as well as the consequences. For me it is pucking - yuck, yuck, yuck. Lori O. Sorry, they are never gone forever, only > > in remission.>> > **************** > Oh yes, this always makes me cringe. I really, REALLY cringe when I see it in the sig lines of people in Weight Watchers. I'm on a couple of lists, where people whose highest weight was 150, who are trying to get to 125, put in " 5# gone forever!, " and I'm thinking, if you need Weight Watchers to lose 25 pounds, it's probably not only not gone forever, it'll be back next week (and sadly, it usually is). We have our troubles, but we've all been in a place they can't imagine. We are hopeful when we say " gone forever. " I've been over 400, and I'm under 250. I hope everything in between those numbers is truly gone forever, but I was never brave enough to say that on the way down, and I'm not now, either. ~~ Lyn G

So many people " think " it is gone forever. Maybe we have all been thru that school of hard knocks---yo-yo syndrome long enough to KNOW better. This is not magic. It is work, to stay at goal.
