: Bob has a very bad drooling problem. He is on Artane & a patch,

which is similiar to dramamine, although neither seem to work. The dr.

explained it is not excess fluid, but inability to swallow properly

because of the atrophy in the throat. Some days are worse than others.

ken drooled most of the time, but he had swallow test that indicate

his ability to swallow was unimpaired, and he ordered and ate a hug bean

burrito five days before he died. In his case, it was the autonomic responses

that were gone. Of course, he always seemed to be able to remember to swallow

when he was eating something he liked. he also was able to swallow pills

until his death.
