Guest guest
Oh Lydia you can say that again (looking forward to being done), I have been so antsy for the past 2 months I don't know how anyone can stand me. I can't wait to be " on the other side " . The next week is going to be sheer torture waiting to go to the doc on the 13th. Marsha > > > Thank you!! Guest guest
You will be in my thoughts and prayers! I go today to find out if they can do the surgery or not. I am so antsy as well. I want him to say yes we can but at the same time I am nervous that he will say yes! Sounds silly but I am sure you understand. Keep me posted how things are going for you we can endure this with each other in cyber space:-) Take care! > > > > Thank you!! Guest guest
Well it is not great news but we aren't looking that far off in the distance. I guess when he put my molds together the front teeth came down real nice over the bottom but the back were open still. He said orthodontically they can't do anything, but what he can do is cut between the upper teeth and lengthen the teeth so the go down into a nice bite. To do this he has to cut the jaw into three segments. Two of these cuts are between teeth. So I guess you have a chance of damaging the tooth if the roots are too close together which they are. So he needs the ortho to seperate these roots just alittle. Which will probably take four to six weeks. Meaning I am looking at surgery probably in late June. I am glad he is wiling to take the time to do this then just do it now. He said now I have more of a chance of relapse. So we will have to wait and see what the ortho says about the time frame. I hope it's not much longer:-) I will keep you posted. Have you heard anything like this before? Just curious, he told me he has done alot of these. but just wondering from a patient perspective. take care!!
