Guest guest
I am not sure if this is a usual 'symptom. can still walk with a stick and usually manages his toilet matters with no problem, but I have been finding 'stains' on bed covers, towels, and now on the actual mat I use in the toilet. I have no problem with the cleaning up but the thing is he denies it is anything to do with him, now he hides the 'evidence' which is not nice when I finally come across it. It is as though he is like a child who thinks he is gong to be told off. Has anyone else met this problem JILL
Guest guest
This has been one of the most difficult issues for my husband and I imagine it would be the most difficult for me as well if the tables were turned. The urine issues were not nearly as hard on him. We started with the same kinds of things several months ago. I didn't ask what had happened or why when it started, instead I just explained that this was another MSA problem and we would have to deal with it like any of the others. Jerry has no knowledge of the bowels moving at all. First we started with constipation and now we deal with loose bowels and the,... Oh, no...I had no idea I had gone. It has only gotten worse but we are getting pretty proficient with clean up and use of pads, etc. It scares him most of all when we are going out somewhere. I have also found that he doesn't even know he needs to use the toilet so we just do that every morning just in case. Guest guest
We have relived lots of problems with emotions by using the large adult diapers. Then you do not have to worry about what might happen when you are out. My husband has been using since August 2000. We made several trips during that time. Guest guest
Dear Jan: I am like Pavlov's dog when it comes to bathroom problems. Bob does not realize he has to go but he gets mad at me because I make him sit on the toilet or commode so often but then he is glad because he goes. He now wears "Depends"guards and sometimes more involved pants - especially if it involves going out. Even there I have pivotted him around and bring extra "guards" and pants. I am just conditioned - he doesn't know when he has to go - I just react and hope he goes when I think he has too. Take Care, Pat from Framingham MA
Guest guest
Thanks Pat, It makes me feel better knowing that I am not alone in how I handle some things. Jerry really bucks at the depends but it is better than the alternative. Jan > Dear Jan: I am like Pavlov's dog when it comes to bathroom problems.
