Guest guest
Hi Stacey. I didn't want you to think I forgot about you. I'll check in this weekend when we can start counting recovery time in months rather than days and weeks. Can you believe it? Things here are improving though I had a small scare. I had a few bubble/bumps on my left gum line and reading all the antibiotic talk had me fearing the worst. Alas, it was all unnecessary; the doc said it's natural as everything starts to reattach. Whew. Eating wise, this week's a double challenge. Try pulling all breads/pastas from your diet for a week (Passover) and you're really relying heavily on smoothies and potatoes. To old pros like us, it's easy. My next big milestone will be my first meeting with my orthodontist since the surgery. My surgeon plans to " release " me to him on Monday and then I'll have him hem and haw about how much longer I'll be braced up. I hope all is well and you're continuing to avoid the stairs! LOL All the best, Fran
Guest guest
--- Hiya Fran thanks for thinking of me. I know a whole month. its gone so fast yet at the same time it seems like ages ago that i went through it all. things are still going ok for me. swelling is going down and i can now see what other people have said about looking different everday. Compared to how i looked before the op i can see quite a big difference and my dad is forever saying how much my face has changed yet other people can hardly tell. I think i will b happy with the results though. having a few problems with dry skin all over my face. i had it a week post op but then it went away.now it has come back with avengance. i think its because i have much more facial movement now and so the skin is all breakin. I just doesnt look particularly pleasant but hey its just another temporary problem to work through. get in touch soon stace
