Guest guest
First of all, thank you Carol and Rob for the transcript of your interview. It made me proud of you both. Even though we have never met face to face, I feel apart of you through this group and it added to my pride. Next, Fisher, thanks for explaining sleep disorder and the meds so well. If ever needed, I have printed this out to take to my physician. Vera and Belinda I do appreciate you both and your sweetness and humor. I am a single mother of a 13 year old son. I have three grown children also. This illness is harder for him than for me I tink. We joke about the falls and stumbles I have around the house. We joke about the lack of being able to put the right words in sentences at times. There have been times when i say the wrong thing and we just crack up laughing. Laughter helps so much. But I know that he has no one to talk about what is happening to his 48 year old Mom, who 2 years ago was very active in sports and things to what I am now. I am seriously thinking of having him go to a counselor , hoping that will help. He's not too keen on the idea. I did ask him if a chat session was formed for kids if he would participate and he said sure but no through e-mail, just a chat session type. I agree with Pam the kids will probally know more chat places than we do and just how to go about using them. Jim, my son, spends his time either on the phone or on MSN Messenger withhis friends. So chatting with other kids is what he does best. Just thought I would add my 2 cents worth. Sorry it was so windy. Guest guest
Hi Meg, I guess there are more kids out there than I thought. Our 17 yr old is our youngest and only one living home. It is different for him because he deals with MSA on a daily basis. The others come to visit with their Dad and then they leave. I know how hard it is for children living in the home with this disease. I hope by the beginning of the school year we can have a chat time for the young people. They are all so used to " chatting " whereas it took me a while to get the hang of all the conversations going at the same time. Take care and know that we are all here for you. Won't it be nice if the kids can be there for one another as well. Hugs, Jan (in the State of Fire, Arizona) > First of all, thank you Carol and Rob for the transcript of your interview.
