Guest guest
Hi everyone Just doing my legally bound duty as Life Long Angel for Marjie. The 8:00 am scheduled endoscopy finally occurred at about noon today. The MD showed me her open stomas, and intact healthy pouch. (I now know what she looks like from the inside. . . ) She did say, however, that she was unable to visualize the limb back into the antrum (lower part) of the remaining stomach looking for more potential problems. Time for more tests. Upper GI, or a CAT scan or both. Today. This afternoon. Later this afternoon. Maybe by dinner. Okay, maybe tonight. Later tonight? Ok, well maybe we can schedule it for tomorrow. Some one will lose a limb or a kidney over this if they dont do something soon in a timely manner. Geez, you know, she is resting, with a morphine patch, in la-la land, in a comfy bed. The kids and I and her parents are running around like crazy, wondering what to do next. (Of course, due to a lack of availability, she is on a geriatric floor - " . . . oyyyy, nurse . . .oyyyy, nurse . . . . " ) If she was in any danger, or seriously ill, we couldnt joke, but we must still laugh. All labs are still normal, nothing really new to report. The remains of the lab tech who today " tried " to take blood and missed and blew her vein have still not been located. All goes well, and if the tests tomorrow do not indicate any need for procedures, she SHOULD come home in the afternoon. To all the people who sent wishes and prayers and thoughts and wings a flapping - thanks. I know you are helping. All the offers of help and 'whatever we need " - well, we just need her well. The sink and diswasher are full again. Love,
