Guest guest
Christmas is coming soon. I have bought gifts for my brother and his wife, my husband, my children and grandchildren and in laws. I am about broke. I have about 8 other people who will give us something, but the only thing I can come up with and stay in my budget for Christmas is just to bake these people cookies. I received recipies from this lady who sells her cookies. They are awesome. Soooo, I am making these cookies and freezing them. It is extremely difficult to NOT eat a fresh, hot, chocolate chip cookie. I don't have any other ideas for a cheap Christmas gift...any ideas? Guest guest
The only idea I have is this: Don't let Christmas fool you into doing things you don't want to do. And don't let the cookies fool you either. in Austin RNY April 1998 Re: Digest Number 1794 > Christmas is coming soon. I bought 39 cents worth and made 20 of these (little ones) out of it, and a $2 bag of potpourri --comes in lots of different " flavors " (scents). Cut the tulle into squares, put some poutpourri in the center and bring up the ends all around. Twist a bit and tie it with some of that ribbon you drag a scissors along to make it curly. U can use 2 or 3 strands of ribbon in different colors, to customize to personality or house decor or season of the year. Makes a nice, cute, attractive sachet. Can be put in underwear drawers (even men like their u/wear to smell good -- remember the Downy commercials?), hung in closets off the bar or hangers, or in any room wherever one can find something to dangle it from. I also bought car accessories for $2 to $4 apiece: dash brush for hard to reach places that get dusty; wash mitt with fleece on both sides but also a " scrub " mesh on one side; visor clips for holding sunglasses; visor organizers for all kinds of odds and ends, etc. I would imagine in this season, even ice scrapers and snow brushes might be appreciated (unless you're lucky enuf to live in one o'them thar southern climes.............)
