Guest guest
Shirley: Bill is right when he said that CHF can sometime show up with Pneumonia. Fred was rushed to the hospital with pneumonia, UTI and CHF last September. CHF is when the heart does not pump strongly enough, blood flow slows down and fluid backs up in the lungs and other parts of the body. Your body can become congested with fluid, which is why this condition is called congestive heart failure. The condition can be mild or severe . After the Cardiologist ran his test, all the test showed that Fred's heart was still strong. No damage to it. The Cardiologist said he wasn't even sure it really was CHF that it could of been just because of the pneumonia, but they still have him on the lasix everyday to keep him from getting this fluid build up again.
