Guest guest
hi all... i was wondering if someone could help me. i have had a mild sore throat for the past 1 1/2 weeks, nearly two. it started out feeling like i had something caught in the back of my throat and then it turned into just being plain sore. at first i thought it might be allergies, but i read a few posts on here about " thrush " . i went to my OS last week about this and he didn't seem concerned... but now i'm getting worried b/c i read that if it IS thrush, then it could spread to my stomach and even further. i had surgery 4 weeks ago... i'm supposed to get unwired in two weeks. so, since i'm still wired, they can't even check inside my mouth for bacteria anyway, right? should i see my doctor??? part of me would feel silly going back to him a week later with the same complaint if its nothing, but at the same time, if it IS an infection, i don't want it to get worse! help! heather
Guest guest
If it's possible to do so, you might try swishing a half and half mixture of Cepacol and Hydrogen Peroxide in the area that's sore. Sometimes that will cut off a sore throat quickly. Warm salt water might help, too. If you can't squirt it in there and swish, I haven't any other ideas...
