I seem to cycle thru times when I just can't do much of animal protein, at

all. When that happens, I rely on:

TVP (comes in all sorts of textures and " flavors " , and even my husband likes

it!

Rice and beans (makes a complete protein when combined), and I tend to use

brown rice - trying to stay away from all things white :-)

Split Pea Soup

This great 13 bean soup I found. Even comes with a teeny weeny bottle of

Tabasco sauce!!!!

Cheese. Hard cheeses, not soft stuff (tends to get stuck). Cheese & eggs

always works well for me too, I make a kind of crust-less quiche.

Lots of salads with cheese and sunflower seeds. LOTS of veggies!

I don't know if you count fish in your veg diet - but I eat alot of fish,

too. Salmon, especially, is my new favorite " treat " food when I eat out,

and tuna, haddock, whitefish, catfish.....for me, as long as they are

grilled or broiled or poached, I'm okay. NO frying in oil for me!

Hope that gives you some ideas!
