Hi Everyone,

I saw the hematologist again today for my lab results. My hemoglobin is

10.9.. a bit too low.. he wants this to be at 12.5-13.5 and my hematocrit is

also low, although I cant recall the exact numbers. He drew additional blood

today for an iron panel, folate level, and a b12 level... if these are

decreased, he wants me to go on IV iron bi monthly. He feels that I am not

absorbing the oral iron supplements that I take well enough to keep my levels

up.

My potassium was slightly low... 3.4, my calcium was slightly low.. 8.4

my total protein was a bit low, 6.2, and my albumin was 3.3. My total

bilirubin was high.. 1.3 and my alk phos was 140.. My pt was normal, but my

ptt was slightly elevated.

Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks

Hugs,

from GA

, what supplements are you currently taking, when do you take them, how

long have you been taking them, and what were the same values in your last

set of labs?
