Guest guest
Hi, I'm also from Ontario (north of Toronto). You can call OHIP's tollfree number to check, that's what I did when I was contemplating this surgery back in 2000. You never know when they might de-list procedures .... I had upper/lower/genio (surgery in August 2002 at Toronto General), and it was all covered by OHIP. The only part I had to pay separately was for the orthodontic treatment and any out-of-hospital visits to my surgeon (the latter cost me $1,200). We also upgraded to a private room and my husband was allowed to stay 24x7 (during the night they gave him a reclining chair). I submitted the extra cost of the hospital room to my private insurer. Hope that helps, > Hi, I know the braces arn't ofcourse, but I'm wondering if the > surgery itself is covered by OHIP? > Thanks
