Deborah, Jan, Amy, Dee,

I am so excited! I just can't hide it! I am going to be there,Lord

willing! Ok, here is the date that I have pinned Glenn down in

telling me when I can be there. Thankfully, I will not have to ride

my new Jazzy all the way to NC. LOL I would have probably had to stop

and buy new tires in SC especially the way they are always working on

the roads. Sorry Win, but you know it is true especially on I-85.

Well to be honest it is the same way as soon as you hit the NC line

until you get to the other side of Charlotte. Deborah you will have

to tell us how to get to your house or your address so we can go to

MAP-Quest and get the directions. Ok, the date is (drum roll,please)

July...........27,2002! Glenn said we will probably come up Friday

but it will be late since we will leave after he gets off of work.

Deborah, what hotels, motels are around you? We are going to stay in

one so you might as well tell me! (Please do not send me to one that

has red lights outside the motel room doors!) LOL I love you dearly

you know but this is the way it has to be. Ok, case closed! I am

going to rest and try to be as healthy as I can be so I can spend as

much time with you all as I can. I feel like a little kid excited

about going to 6 flags over Georgia. LOL Let me know if this is ok

with you all.

I am so glad you will be able to travel to the " reunion " at Deborah's. I-85

has been a mess one way or another ever since it has been born, I think. If

they are not mending potholes, they are building bridges, ramps, etc. Since

I am new with the group I have no idea where most live, so don't know how

far you have to travel. I admire your adventurous courage in this stage of

I am coming up I-85 from Atlanta, Georgia. Well not all the way from

downtown Atlanta. It easier for me to come up I-85. I know the

traffic might be horrible because of the last part of July and school

starting soon again. I lived in Charlotte when I worked for Bell

South for about 4 years before transfering with Bell South to Atlanta

but for the last 18 years that I have traveled through Charlotte to

get to Winston-Salem, I marvel at how much Charlotte has grown every

year. The city of Charlotte covers more area than Mecklanburg County

I believe. , do you live off a interstate or hwy? I hope to be

sleeping most of the way up there so I won't hurt as bad when I get

there. I know once we hit the NC border Glenn will want me up there

in the front passenger seat.

Belinda: You will not have any trouble traveling I-85.Plenty of rest areas

available. I think it is great that you are going to the reunion. There

will be such a kindred feeling in being together. Clinton is between I-85

and I-26. When we used to go to Chattanooga to visit our families so often

in years past, we would get off 285 and take I-85 exiting at the

exit to get to Clinton. Sounds like we live in the middle of nowhere,
