We left land last year and moved to southern Florida and after today's snowstorm up north I am very happy we moved. I miss all the work I did with Dr. Marcus and the support group in MD, but they are doing fine even though Dr. Marcus retired from practicing medicine. Malpractice ins got too expensive for him. I'm fighting a rebound weight gain that has hit me in the last year. I'm 4 years postop and I have regained about 40 of the 240 pounds I'd lost. So, I'm trying to go back to square 1: back on protein drinks and trying to cut back on the carbs. I mistakenly thought being very distal would prevent a weight gain, but I was wrong. I also need to get back in the gym which I stopped last year for no reason. I have no fear that I will regain all my weight, but the 40 pounds have made a difference in my clothes size and my comfortability. Oh, and I still don't like cats!
