Guest guest
Connie, not only are they linking it to the development of diseases, they have proven that the digestive system can induce multiple diseases. And your right there is a tremendous amount of info to learn and keep up with. and I where just talking about B6 deficiencies over the weekend. Technically not possible to have here in the U.S. however, if your body can not " breakdown " Niacin into trytophan, which is an essential amino acid, then you can develop Pellagra - niacin deficiency. Which interestingly is not treated by adding more B6 to your diet but by adding tryptophan. Remember how Arto (I think) was talking about how much better he felt after taking the amino 3 supplements. This is along the same line. There are a number of persons that have the symptoms of Pellagra in this group. It is characterized by inflammation of the mucous membranes, diarrhea, psychic disturbances ( depression, irritability, anxiety, confusion, disorientation, delusions and hallucinations) and in some cases dermatitis. The dermatitis occurs on the portions of the body that are exposed to light or trauma. R. Thanks, :-) There sure is a lot to learn! There's also a whole lot of information emerging on the subject of the digestive system, sometimes referred to as " leaky gut " and how it is implicated in the development of disease. Have a great day! Connie H.
