Guest guest
lou, An 8 inch step would be difficult for even me, I rebuilt our steps to 5.5 inches. I did not have the length for a ramp. When you look at power wheelchairs, remember to look for one with a detachable control, in case Sam loses the ability to control it himself and you have to control his chair. That is why I like the power w/c over the scooter also, more support for the patient. If you get a power chair, you will need the ramp(s). Most people have no problem with the ramps in place. I would worry about your back rather than someone complaining about the ramp. On the infection, then improve, then go back - YES, that is common with MSA. We MUST watch for infection at all times.
