Dear Bill - YOU know I don't know nuthin' bout machinery - but a week ago asked about a chat setup for

Front Runner Caregivers unable to keep up with all the list friends and problems. If the room is available, several 24/7on call persons with loved ones bedfast, mute, paralyzed, demented, hospiced or requiring total care are interested. Puter Angel Advisors are performing this service - Barb Selleck for me - but a set hour or two each afternoon for "oldie's serious distresses" would be welcome.

Can you do this? So all we have to do is click the hands up blue location to enter? With Pam? Somehow?

Seriously, I just learned how to turn the `puter offline so the telephone is on yesterday. Puter does its thing loading files or whatever and when finished reading emails, I turn the `puter on again to turn it off. The steps are written on a blackboard.

Saves buying another line `cause the first line is SELDOM used here.

Geez Louise :) You most certainly can go to the chat room any old time. I don't have to flip a switch or anything special... just go to this website http://accesswave.ca/~pbower/msachat.htm Then click on Join My Chat Room. Well you know because you've joined us there before.

Only thing is that unless you announce to others that you are going to the chat room no one will be there to meet you. So if you want to schedule a regular time for people to go meet there daily we can certainly do that. Around what time do you and Puter Angel Barb talk now?

Hugs,

Pam

Pam, 12 to 2 afternoons is best time for exhausted up at night gals - we run out of gas early afternoons. Barb and I are chatting now, solving world problems one at a time.

Thanks, will send you my "reading" list request for specialties ASAP.

Louise,

I am generally on at least a hour in the AM and an hour in the PM as

well as some later in the evening - except for Friday, Sat and sometimes

Sunday. Those days I am either not on at all or only early morning.

If you see me answering questions - write a note on the list with "are

you available" in the subject line. Remember that several former

caregivers are on intermittently also and can also give good advice.

Both Barb's (CA and TX) and Judy (the poodle lady) give excellent advice.

If you see any of us on IM ask us, we can always say we are busy if we

can't help you at the time. Add us to your IM buddy list and we will

show up. Right now I am on as well as Barb Selleck and Dick Larrew.

I will leave it on, but am going to fix some lunch in a few minutes, so

if you have time I may be away from the computer for 15 minutes.

Bring it up on the Wednesday and Sunday chats, I can not pick a regular

time as I have doctor, dentist, errands, running kids around, etc. chores

these days. But maybe we could have a time that some people could

look in.

Take care, Bill Werre

I just put up: "Weekdays 1 PM Eastern" on the chat room website I won't send out regular reminders for the daily chat, we'll just rely on those of you who are usually around to either send a note to the list if you are there alone looking for others to join in or else instant message people who are on your buddy list and invite them into the chat room.

Again the chat room instructions are all here:

Hugs,

Pam
