Guest guest
Timo, What did the doctor say about your wife's eyes that helped them in their diagnosis of PAF instead MSA. What other syptoms did and does your wife have. At first the doctors thought I had PAF but later said MSA. Very curious about this. What other syptoms did and does your wife have. At first the doctors thought I had PAF but later said MSA. Very curious about this. Meg Meg, when the eye not reacts on light, it mostly occurs only at one eye. That is called Edy's syndrome. With a certain liquid which can be obtained in different types, you can reduce the iris for a couple of hours, because it gives a signal to the brain to reduce the iris. (As I was told.) Anne had both eyes at the same time and the liquid had no effect. Therefor they thought that the signaltransport in the nerves is damaged with Anne. Also Anne did not have the typical MSA problems (Don't hit me ;-) ) like slurred speech, tremor and bladder. He told us however that the difference between MSA and PAF is a very thin line and it could develop to MSA. I see all this like a ship and an anchorchain. All the patients got a defect. Either on the ship (MSA), the chain (PAF) or the anchor itself ("Normal"patients). I hope I was of help to you, Timo
