Carol, Aida,

Another thing that we do at night ( and mind you that we are probably

farther down this road than you) is to put him in bed with a pad undeer him

rather than actually closed up on him to allow his body to breathe, Of

course this takes a little more washing, because I wash that pad every day

and if he rest during the day the is another one or more. I purchase these

from one of those mail orde catalogs. His bed stays dry, his body is allow

time to breathe, and I do not have to change the entire bed several times a

day.

Marilyn,

The pad is a good idea. I have one under the mattress pad to protect the

mattress from getting wet, but the idea of using it with no diaper to let

the skin breathe is a good one. I do have concerns that Rob moves around

too much in his sleep, but we can experiment.

Carol, Vermont Country Store sells a mattress pad advertised as top of the

sheet pad with non slip backing. I bought 2 but can't tell you if they slip

or not, they were for grandson whose Mom was tired of changing sheets. If

you want more details I will find them for you.

Hi all,

Wal-Mart also sells a mattress pad which we used on top of the sheet with vynal

on one side and absorbant on the other. This was also great as the aide and I

could grab the sides and move Charlotte up in bed with it. It was $9.99 ea and

in the area of sheets. Note- don't put it in the dryer and best to wash by hand

with Woolite.

Take care, Bill Werre

Ginger,

Thanks for the tip! I get their catalog and I'll dig it out and order one.

The only way to tell for sure if it slips is to try it.
