Hi Sue,

Lucy here, I'm buttin in as usual. I use a C-Pap machine every night. I

wear a mask that covers my nose and while I sleep, it blows a constant

amount of air into my nose, keeping my airway open to prevent Sleep Apnea.

I was diagnosed in 1994 with Sleep Apnea. My Father had it but we did not

know it until after his stroke in 1988. His stroke was Dec. 30th of 1988,

on Jan. 8, 1989, he went into cardiac arrest because he went into an apnea

and the sleep center of the brain was the part of the brain affected by the

stroke and he did not breathe like we normally do when we go into an apnea

(stop breathing). To make a long story short, the C-Pap is the machine that

a person with Sleep Apnea uses to keep the air way open. If I can be of any

more help, please feel free to ask.

Love and Prayers, Lucy

Sue,

Lucy gave you the info but I wanted to ask if you have been tested for

Sjogrens Syndrome. I have it and I have the throat problems you have.
