Guest guest
I went to a Chanuka party on Thursday and it is a low carbers and low fat nightmare. It was held at a nice hotel. I had 1 latke(potatoe pancake), some coleslaw type salad, cup of coffee with non dairy creamer and splenda. Well, about 30 minutes later I thought I was gonna die. I almost passed out on the way to the restroom, Everything went almost black, I was sweating and had gas and when I got to the restroom, the diarrhea. I thought I was not going to be able to drive home. Yes, even at 8.75 yrs I still fat dump. I love mexican food but it does not like me. This episode of dumping was one of the worse I have ever had. After about 10 minutes in the restroom I started feeling better. I washed my face and was able to relax. My abdomen has been so sore since. I feel like I strained all the muscles in my lower abdomen, worse than menstrual cramps. So, again I am reminded that the surgery is still working. Now if the soreness would just go away I would be a happy camper. Rita in Brrrmont rny 3/31/94 463/
Guest guest
Rita..It is still amazing how different we all are! I have NO problem with fats...I could eat a deep fried butter pat coated with cheese without any trouble (not that I WOULD mind you..lol). But don't give me even a cookie with regular sugar or I will be sick in the potty like you were. It isn't pleasant, but it does, as you say, remind you that your surgery still works. Speaking of different, I went to our support group's Christmas Party last night (Danced my tushie off and got home at 1 AM!!) and am still flabbergasted at how different we all eat! I am sitting there with my 1/4 of a roll, small slice of roast beef and 2 tiny taters (golf ball size) and I couldn't finish it. A little later, I had a tiny piece of sugar free cake. I watched post ops eat roast beef sandwiches and cookies for dessert..lol. Some, going back for seconds! What is amazing is that we all had the same procedure (some long limb, some not) with the same surgeon (those who were there that were post op's anyway) and what we can eat varies tremendously. Those of you lurking out there peeking in on the lives of 1 yr plus posties, remember that we are all different. It sure isn't boring after WLS that's for sure! =o) Blessings, Cindy Lou ¸,ø ¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸ There's too much blood in my caffeine system ¸,ø ¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸ Lost 300+ lbs Gained :::LIFE::: My Home Page: http://www.ptl4wls.com My Graphics List: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Grafix4Jesus/ My Christian WLS List: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OSSG-WLSChristian/ " I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears. Could be fat-type dump. But you did have cole slaw which is made with milk and sugar as I recall, right? Could that be what it was? Guest guest
I notice that when folks tell me that this or that is the best ever, it usually has suger in it. When I was reading the cole slaw labels at the market, one of the first ingrediants after cabbage is sugar. We have to understand that most of our food eaten out can be spiked with sugar. No wonder the diabetics are having trouble controlling their numbers. my 2 cents. Fay Bayuk
