Guest guest
Vera, This is very good advice. We have a case manager who has been a God send for us. talks with her and she tells us what we need to do so that red tape on her end can be gotten around. Our case manager is the one who had us get a skilled nurse to come to our home to determine what medical supplies we needed. She got all the equipment approved before we even went to purchase it. talks to her at least 2 times a week and we now have her direct phone number. Call your insurance company and ask if you have a case manager and if not, could they assign one to you. It does make things go a lot smoother. Hugs, Deborah aka tenacity Vera, It's a shame that you have to fight with against the insurance company every time something happens. One of the insurance co's around here has been advertising that they have case managers for complicated cases. You might call your insurance co in non-crisis mode, explain Fred's illness, fax them background information and see if there is ONE person who can be your contact point for everything. If you can make a " friend " within the insurance co you might have smoother sailing. Just a thought. As my mother always told me, you catch more flies with honey that you do with vinegar.
