Guest guest
Hello everyone, I thought I'd post a message on how I am progressing. On 2/24/04 I had a lefort 1 procedure on my upper jaw and a mandibular extension on my lower. Before my surgery, I had a 6mm overbite, and _severe_ sleep apnea. I used a CPAP machine at night. As of today, my CPAP machine is under my bed, gathering dust. I no longer snore at all and I can breathe incredibly well. Little did I know, but my nose has always clogged up with phlegm...probably because of the lack of air going through it! I no longer get those build ups. My teeth are nearly perfectly straight...my overbite is gone...and my profile has improved remarkably!!! I have gotten nearly all of my feeling back...my lower lip is tingly all the time and I can feel when I touch it, but its not 100%. My gums are still numb in spots, but I don't care about that. I can open my mouth just over a finger's width...my doc says at its widest it will be two finger's width. All in all, I am SUPER happy I have done this. On day 5 I was so miserable, I posted on this group that I regretted ever having done it. My life has so improved in these last few weeks that I just can't believe it. Best wishes to everyone that has yet to go through your treatment. I hope your experience is as good as mine. -
