Hey all,

I know I asked this before, but I realize my letter before was

pretty length and drawn out, so I am gonna pop this one

straightforward:

How long after the surgery did most of you have to wait before

returning to any level of physical activity such as sports etc.. In

addition, is your face more fragile than it was before? Can you

still participate in contact sports?

Thanks,

kev!

hey,

i was wired for two weeks, but i did a little lifting during that

time (not actualy sure if thats safe...but i was fine) then i

started running as soon as i got the wires off, which was weird

because it felt like my jaw was bobbing up and down as i moved...but

the os seemed to think that was normal. he wouldnt let me play field

hockey or do gym for about two months though. what i noticed though

is that i breathe much better when i run, which the os said happens

to alot of people. however i also had a bone in my nose altered so

perhaps that was the reason.ok, sorry, i guess this might not be to

helpful! :) but anyways, i dont think my face is " fragile " but i am

a little more paranoid about getting hit w/balls etc. good luck!
