Hello. There have been some excellent suggestions to my ramp

inquiries. There is space for an 8 foot ramp to accommodate the 8 inch

step, and there is room at the end of the ramp to turn the wheelchair. I

think the best solution to the problem with the storage room door opening

directly on to where the ramp would be is to have a mini dutch door--the

first hinge is 10 " up, so there is clearance for the ramp, and the door

could be cut at that level--perhaps at an angle, and I could just step over

into the little room/closet. In addition, I seem to have no problems with

the " association,. " as I spoke to the president, and they are most eager to

accommodate us in any way possible. Someone in the neighborhood with MS is

building a pressure-treated ramp that is very attractive, but our ramp

would be much easier as it is just a straight ramp with no angles. I

suppose it would have to have a lip of some kind to remind errant

wheelchairs to stay in line. As usual, thanks group. Lou Reynolds
