Guest guest
Hi everyone Sue from UK here, 11 days post op, feeling a little more chipper but still with a degree of swelling and pain from upper reduction, lower advancement, palate expansion and upper wisdoms out. Had a little hiccup. Have just spent two days in hospital after a hefty nosebleed panicked me late one note. So, one nose scope later, some anti bleeding drugs and two days of sheer boredom I'm back home. Things which are becoming a pain: My speech - I have a splint wired to my upper teeth which distorts all those s, ps and bs. My drooling is out of control I've more pain in the right hand side than left I'm still bunged up although Otrivine is now helping. I got oral thrush which basically meant the top surface of my tongue went black, then white, then fell off. Yuck!! It is painful to swallow, particularly my tongue against the top palate (presumably because of the expansion). My tingling and sore lips and chin Right, I've had my moan - I know its only onwards and upwards from here. The pain is definitely less. All I need do now is confront the public!! Thanks for listening Best wishes Sue (UK)

But on a plus note my drooling stopped at about 2 weeks after the first surgery ( and did not get it with the lower surgery) At about 2 weeks post OP i found that things started to turn a corner and i hope it does for you too.
