Thanks to the miracle of Vicodin, I would think you'll be able to handle it.

My drive was about 45 minutes and I was pretty much out the whole way. The

seatbelt was a little dicey (in fact, I'll have to check with my husband, but

I think I did not wear one on the trip home).

I had the abdominoplasty, the hernia repair, and the breast lift and left the

hospital 20 hours after surgery started (surgery at 2:00, went home the next

morning). Had my surgery been scheduled for the morning, I would have gone

home that evening. I was much more comfortable at home than I would have

been at the hospital (well, as comfortable as possible considering I was in

horrible pain - but I could sleep in my recliner and never could have slept

in those hospital beds)

I had a TT with lipo and less than 1/2 hour ride home, and it was fine. I

was anxious to get home just to relax in my own bed (with tons of pillows),

but it wasn't painful or really uncomfortable at all, and I really wasn't all

that groggy. Just bring a pillow to tuck under the seatbelt for a little

extra cushioning.

Good luck,

You are having all of that in DAY SURGERY? I had a tummy tuck and hernia repair

and was in the hospital for three days and it was a 20 MINUTE drive home, with a

stop at the pharmacy for pain meds.

I'm not sure how you tolerate pain, each case is individual. All I can say is

GOOD LUCK!!!!! You're one strong woman!

Geri, are you actually doing the driving or is someone else. If someone

else is driving, you will probably be fine. I would take some pain

medication before leaving. If you personally are driving, I would say

heck no take a cab. I just have this vision of another Regina behind the

wheel. (sorry Regina)

You aren't driving, right? That is a lot of surgery for a day facility - are

you having an anchor incision? I got two nights in the hospital for TT &

brachioplasty. I might check into a nearby hotel for a couple of days just in

case you need some immediate follow up care.

JMHO.
