Suzanne, What exercise are you doing now?? Walking is always good with a

hernia, there would not be any pressure on abdomen as in crunches. If you

are already walking, change it. INcrease your speed, distance or do hills.

I bought Exerstrider walking poles and really like them. They cost about

$70 but think about how much a gym membership would be.
