Guest guest
Thanks, I pasted the whole link, but for some reason it didn't work for me first time around. You do look great, looks like there is not much swelling. How is recovery going so far? And one more question: did you, by any chance, have any jaw assymetry before the surgery? > > > > > The link to the Photo's section on the website was not > working > > > for > > > > > me, so I posted some photo's under ofoto.com. Guest guest
Thanks very much...yeah, the swelling increased by about day 3 or 4, but today I've noticed it decrease even more. To be honest, recovery so far is tough...not impossible, but tough. I'll be wired for 4 weeks, so getting used to eating a liquid diet is not easy. My stomach is adjusting to the new diet and I've been pretty weak as my body adjusts as well. But it's only been a few days, so I think I'll turn a corner next week...I hope! Yes, my jaws were assymetric. My lower jaw and chin were off from the midline. My doctor actually mentioned after surgery that it was even more noticeable once he " opened me up " . I think you can actually tell from the 2nd pic I posted (pre-op smile pic). It is really incredible how the doctors go in there and just straighten everything out. At what point in the whole process are you currently? And if you have any other questions, feel free to fire away...I've got nothing but time. Best of luck, > > > > > > The link to the Photo's section on the website was not > > working > > > > for > > > > > > me, so I posted some photo's under ofoto.com. Guest guest
Wow--pretty dramatic change, eh? You look great for less than a week post-op. Isn't it weird to lose your underbite? I keep staring at my lovely new bite in the mirror. Meant to respond to your earlier post about food (I think that was yours, anyway). My all time favorite post-op shake was about 3 tablespoons of peanut butter, a cup of chocolate ice cream (can you get Blue Bell up there?), and a carton of vanilla yogurt. Very good. I also tried it with almond butter instead of peanut butter, and it tasted like a chocolate covered almond--awesome. If you've got Jamba Juice smoothie stores up there, the Peanut Butter Moo is the best milkshake I've ever had. They also add some vitamins, fiber, soy protein, etc... for a whopping 860 calories. It tastes pretty similar to the homemade one, but probably has a little more well-rounded nutrition. > > > > > > > The link to the Photo's section on the website was not > > > working > > > > > for > > > > > > > me, so I posted some photo's under ofoto.com. Guest guest
Hi - My surgery is a week from Tuesday. You don't look like you have very much swelling at all. Thanks for posting your positive results. I will be wired for 2 weeks and then banded for 4 weeks after that. Keep us posted on your progress! - mgreiter@...> wrote: Thanks very much...yeah, the swelling increased by about day 3 or 4, but today I've noticed it decrease even more.
