As for driving after any procedure that requires anesthesia, it's

against the law. No medical facility will let you even register unless

you have proof of a driver to take you home. They tell you not to sign

important legal documents after having anesthesia for a colonoscopy or

gastroscopy and won't let you drive home after that. The ride home from

the hospital after my tummy tuck was about 20 minutes with no problem,

but took something before I left the hospital. Either find accomadations

in the area for an overnight stay or make sure you get your pain med

prescription filled before you leave (with someone else driving) and you

should do alright.
