Getting started

This is a new member, adacloth working from a friend's computer and only from time to time. As yet not at all experienced in chat groups just touching base. Mainly it would be good to make contact with others in Australia. Does it make much difference what time of trying to chat, i.e. time differences between Australia, USA and UK?
