Guest guest
OK guys, I have a request. I need for everyone to send me the names of the drugs you are taking for RP only. Not for pain or breathing or anything but to control your RP. This request is so that I can send it to a woman in Greece who is trying to find a medicine for her cat that has been dx with RP. Believe it or not, this is the second person who has written about their cat having RP. Angie took the first email on this and we really thought it was a joke, but now another person is writing about their cat having RP, so it does make one wonder. I told her about metho and Pred, but her cat has a bad liver and can't take those drugs, so I'm hoping between all of us, we can come up with a drug that can help her cat. I know this is a strange request, but I can't help but try and help everyone, even a cat that has this damn disease. Thanks in advance. w

Guest guest
Dear , Yes, this is an odd request, but I have 2 cats and know that they can get very unusual diseases, just like people do, plus, for many of us our pets are part of the family. I would think it would be terribly painful for a cat to have RP. I've had one of my cats on prednisone (5mg per day for 5 days) and it seemed to help him for the problem he was having. It isn't something I would want to have him on for very long though. If her cat can't take this, then I'm not sure what else there would be. Maybe an anti inflamatory?? Course those can be hard on the liver too. There are some great web sites for animal health out there. marilyn OK guys, I have a request. Guest guest
Hi :-) Have the lady look at Dr. Garth Nicolson's website at www.immed.org He's the one who helped develop the antibiotic protocol for these rheumatic diseases.....and......his daughter-in-law who came down with Gulf War Illness...(long story) also had a cat who got sick from the mycoplasma. Nicolson thinks Gulf War Illness and the rheumatic diseases have a similar cause. He treated the cat and his daughter in law with the antibiotics. I know they give cats tetraycylines. Also, another lady from the rheumatic list had her vet give her dog the tetraycylines...he got better, too. Hope it helps!! Ask her to keep in touch, OK? love and hugs, Connie H. > OK guys, I have a request. I need for everyone to send me the names of the drugs you are taking for RP only. Guest guest
Here's the exact website for the Veterinary Testing link: http://www.immed.org/illness/veterinary_testing.html but she might want to read the other info at www.immed.org ...as it's helpful, too...for people! hugs, Connie H. Guest guest
Hi , Lucy here, I take 50mg of Dapsone a day for the primary control of my RP. Perhaps some of the other things I take could be helping with the Dapsone. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Love and Prayers, Lucy I have a strange request everyone > OK guys, I have a request. I need for everyone to send me the names of the drugs you are taking for RP only. Guest guest
- knowing how difficult it is to dx in humans, can you imagine how difficult to dx in animals? And to find out how many of them have it?! Glad you are feeling OK at the moment and that you had a relaxing break. Love Liz --- RCColloran@... wrote: > , I am only on pred now and occassionally > Vioxx. Seems to be controling > everything for now. > > I would like to research RP and animals.
