Guest guest
Ok, I have called every OS in my insurance but only one will take my insurance to do ortho surgery because United Healthcare will not pay for it. They are almost impossible to pay up. So, the OS said I would have to file my own claim and have my insurance reimburse me. Has anyone else had this problem? I didn't make an appointment because I don't want to end up paying for it myself. I called the Kentucky Board of Maxillofacial Surgeons and she said that I should probably call the Kentucky insurance commissioner and tell them my dilemma. Anyone else having trouble with insurance? Needing Ortho surgery sooooooo bad! Thanks, LeAnn
Guest guest
Lots of folks have lots of trouble with insurance, alas. And some cannot get coverage. (Some folks use a mortgage or second mortgage to pay the bill; others have found some financial relief at dental schools, which often have reduced bills. And some docs even cut a bargain, either for payment in advance, or when they know the patient has an insurance problem. Mercifully, I didn't have a problem. I have heard that the same company, in an adjacent state, wants to pay only about 1/5 of what my surgeon charges, and he told me, " I just can't do it for that. " Sorry not to have more encouraging news.
