Guest guest
Barbara, Your description is very similar to some of the experiences we've had with Peg the last month or two. Today has been especially bad. The one difference from what you mention is that Peg is complaining of constant dizziness today. Her blood pressure and pulse has been all over the place today. We have been using the florinef and midodrine to get her blood pressure up, that and lots of fluids. Still she is not fully coherent. The doctor saw her yesterday for a rash on the back of her neck that had become infected from her scratching. She's taking Biaxin to help control the infection. Another day with this strange disease. Joanne: Even a Neurologist who saw Ken have one said it looked like a seizure, but it was not. it was just what happened as he was passing out because his BP was falling too fast after he stood up. he would shake and tremble and his eyes would get stuck open and his tongue would hang out, and the he would fall fast and pass out except that he would make deep snoring sounds while he was passed out. But it was not a seizure, just Ken passing out. Guest guest
Jenyfer, My husband had seizures for about 3 years. The doctor tried to convince me they were not really seizures, as they were small ones, but he (the Dr.) never witnessed one. He said it was probably just a drop in the blood pressure that caused a temporary black out. But sometimes, many times a day, he would stiffen, eyes roll up in his head, tremble all over, and breath with mouth pursed like a fish. Often foamy saliva collecting on his lips. When they were over, he said " he was unaware of them. " Sometimes he would have them several in a day, and again sometimes not for a week or two. I never found out what caused them or anything to control them. He did have a couple of hard ones that I witnessed, but mostly they only lasted a minute or less.
