Guest guest
Hi All I have my first meeting with my OS this monday in Columbia Pres in NY. I was told by my dentist that I may need to be wired (I have an underbite class III). is it just a case that you have a small hook on the top brace and a hook on the bottom to prevent you from opening your mouth? or are your jaws actually wired together?. Hope you can help
Guest guest
The doc will use the hooks on your braces to wire the top and bottom jaw together. If wired shut you will not be able to move your jaw at all. good luck with your surgery. a > Hi All > > I have my first meeting with my OS this monday in Columbia Pres in NY. > > I was told by my dentist that I may need to be wired (I have an > underbite class III). > is it just a case that you have a small hook on the top brace and a > hook on the bottom to prevent you from opening your mouth? or are > your jaws actually wired together?. > > Hope you can help
Guest guest
Hi I was just wondering who your surgeon is. I'm also located in NYC and in need for surgery to correct an underbite. > > Hi All > > > > I have my first meeting with my OS this monday in Columbia Pres in > NY. > > > > I was told by my dentist that I may need to be wired (I have an > > underbite class III). > > is it just a case that you have a small hook on the top brace and a > > hook on the bottom to prevent you from opening your mouth? or are > > your jaws actually wired together?. > > > > Hope you can help

Guest guest
I live in Tarrytown, NY (Westchester County) and have an EXCELLENT SURGEON in Yonkers. (I had my surgery in Westchester, but I believe he is affliated with Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan also.) I just underwent upper jaw surgery and he was amazing. If you can travel out of the city, and are interested, I can give you his details. > > > Hi All > > > > > > I have my first meeting with my OS this monday in Columbia Pres > in > > NY. > > > > > > I was told by my dentist that I may need to be wired (I have an > > > underbite class III). > > > is it just a case that you have a small hook on the top brace and > a > > > hook on the bottom to prevent you from opening your mouth? or are > > > your jaws actually wired together?. > > > > > > Hope you can help
