Simone, I have a lift chair and I love it. If possible, try one out first.

They would've had Medicare help with it until the lady noticed my wc and

asked if Medicare was helping with it? Since it was, 'no go' on the

chair. Seems if I had gotten the chair 1st and then wc 2nd Medicare

would've helped with both. Although I tried the chair it was larger than

what I would've liked and since I tend to lean to the left a lot, I have to

put something on the side to keep upright.

Barbara, thank you for the excellent articles on Caregivers and Choices.

F., hubby finally decided to see his doc (since he's fairly new) and I

insisted he mention the sleep apnea and his objections. He didn't want to,

but anyway, he's scheduled for a sleep study and heart check up. Doc told

him they wouldn't have it done the same place, they'd arrange another place,

so that put him at ease. Dodie in MO

Dodie,

Did they say why Medicare would only pay for the lift chair if you

had got it first? I just don't understand how these things are done.

God bless,

Belinda
